Christmas feels a little more magical when you get to step right into Santa's world.
The Santa Portrait Experience at Misty Westebbe Photography is more than a photograph with Santa. Children explore Santa's workshop and cookie station, spend time with Mrs. Claus, talk and laugh with Santa, and become part of the Christmas story unfolding around them.
And while they're busy enjoying every minute of it, I'm photographing the expressions, conversations, excitement, and little moments you'll want to remember.
From the moment children arrive, there is something to discover.
Santa's workshop and cookie station give them space to explore, play, talk, and become part of the experience while I photograph the moments happening along the way.
Rather than everything revolving around sitting still and looking at the camera, they get to be part of what's happening.
And that's where so many of the best portraits begin.

A stop at the cookie station with Mrs. Claus is part of the fun.
Little hands get busy, conversations start, and personalities come out.
While they're icing their cookie and chatting with Mrs. Claus, I'm photographing the expressions and interactions happening naturally along the way.
They're simply enjoying the moment.

And then there's time with Santa.
Time to tell him what's on their Christmas list.
Time to talk.
Time to laugh.
Time to show him something important or ask the question they've been waiting to ask.
Rather than rushing through the visit just to get a photograph, I photograph it as it unfolds — the smiles, the wide eyes, the conversation, the laughter, and those quick glances back toward Mom and Dad.

And we love it when the whole family wants to participate.
Mom and Dad don't have to stay behind the scenes. Siblings, parents, and the people who make Christmas special can step in too.
Some of my favorite Santa portraits happen when everyone joins the story — laughing together, interacting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and creating a Christmas memory that belongs to the whole family.

Of course we'll create beautiful portraits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
But some of the photographs families love most happen in between.
A laugh with Mrs. Claus.
Hands busy at the cookie station.
A quiet conversation with Santa.
A family laughing together.
The expression on a child's face when Santa remembers something special about them.
Those little moments are what make the experience feel like theirs.

For many families, Santa becomes part of Christmas year after year.
The children grow.
Their conversations with Santa change.
The things on their Christmas lists change.
And each year adds another chapter to the story.
What begins as a Santa portrait becomes a collection of Christmas memories your family gets to look back on together.

Some seasons of childhood deserve a little extra magic.
A little more time.
And photographs that bring you right back to the way it all felt.
The Santa Portrait Experience takes place at Misty Westebbe Photography in Franklin, Tennessee and includes time in Santa's workshop and cookie station, a visit with Mrs. Claus, time with Santa, and portraits created throughout the experience.
And yes, the whole family is welcome to be part of the fun.
Sessions are offered for a limited time each Christmas season.
