Senior year is a defining moment for embracing your individuality and looking ahead with excitement. Discover the joy of being genuinely celebrated through a relaxed experience, understanding more deeply who you are and the quiet strength you carry into what's next.

This year is a whirlwind, right? Everyone's telling you it's a "big year," full of excitement for what’s next. But beneath the surface, it can also feel like a lot of noise and pressure. You’re navigating expectations – from grades to college applications, from friends to family – and sometimes it’s hard to tell who you’re really supposed to be. Maybe you’re excited but feel a quiet internal pressure about how you should show up. Maybe you feel a bit indifferent, just wanting to get through it. Or maybe you simply wonder if anyone truly sees you amidst all the senior year chaos – the real you, beyond the achievements and the planned future. It can feel like this whole chapter is just another checklist item, something to get through, rather than a genuine opportunity to acknowledge who you are right now. You might worry that it will all feel forced, or worse, that you won't recognize yourself in any of it. And for your parent, who observes you during this pivotal time, they want you to feel genuinely seen for who you are. They hope you embrace this transition carrying quiet confidence, rather than just crossing off another milestone. They understand these quiet hesitations, because they, too, want this chapter to be meaningful for you not just for them. This isn’t just about photographs; it's about the unspoken shifts, the fear that this precious senior year becomes just another thing to get through. It's the anxiety that the unique light within you, the person you truly are right now, might not be celebrated and affirmed in a way that resonates with you*, leaving you with regrets about what wasn't meaningfully acknowledged.

I believe this senior year deserves to feel truly meaningful and personal, not just another item on a checklist. It's a significant chapter where who they are right now matters, and everyone deserves to feel completely confident as they step into it. I see the quiet questions that can arise during this time of transformation, as a senior explores their independence. That mix of pride, excitement, and perhaps a little uncertainty about how they truly feel as they become themselves is a common one. Many families navigate these feelings, wanting tangible reassurance that their senior feels supported, seen, and ready for what’s next. My role is to gently guide both the senior and their family through an experience that replaces any quiet pressure with ease and a deep sense of confidence that feels truly theirs. From the very start, I focus on creating a relaxed and comfortable space where the senior can simply be themselves. It feels less like a formal event and more like spending time with someone who genuinely sees and understands them. As they settle in, you'll see their confidence unfold in a way that feels honest and unforced. What we create together offers that visible proof you're longing for. It’s evidence that the senior is stepping forward as themselves, ready for their next chapter, and that they feel steady and strong. These aren't just portraits; they become artwork for your home, a daily reminder of who they were during this meaningful year. They reflect their unique personality, their growing confidence, visible for both the senior and their family long after senior year has passed. This experience is about celebrating who your senior is right now and giving both them and their family the quiet confidence to move forward, knowing they feel sure of themselves.

We start with a relaxed chat. This is your chance to share what makes YOU, your passions, interests, and what you envision for your senior year celebration. It's about getting to know each other and designing an experience that genuinely reflects who you are, making sure it feels true to your unique spirit.
This is your time to shine, your way. We create a comfortable, low-pressure space where you can simply relax and be yourself. No need to perform; just open up and let your personality unfold. This experience is all about celebrating you, resulting in images that deeply reflect your true self without any pretense or expectation.
After our time together, we’ll meet to choose your favorite pieces. Here, you'll see yourself truly seen and celebrated. We'll select incredible Wall Art for your home, create a beautiful Senior Album documenting this time, or choose a Treasure Box to hold what matters most. Everything is designed to match your style and become meaningful anchors in your world.
Imagine seeing artwork in your home every day that perfectly reflects who you are your unique spirit, your quiet strength, your eagerness for what's next. This artwork becomes a constant source of quiet confidence, grounding you in your true identity and affirming that who you are right now is enough, and truly celebrated, as you step into your future.

Imagine this: Every day, as you walk through your home, you see yourself in powerful artwork. It's not just a portrait; it's a constant, visible reminder that who you are right now, your true self, is celebrated and recognized. You feel a quiet, steady confidence blooming from within, seeing yourself as ready for whatever comes next, fully capable and genuinely seen. And for your family, when they see these artworks – seeing you – every day, they don't just see a photograph. They see the vibrant, confident young person who is stepping into their future. It's a daily reassurance for them, a deep sense of pride and calm knowing that you feel understood and truly ready. This artwork becomes an emotional anchor, a shared feeling of connection and confidence that fills your home and strengthens what you all share.
What Life Can Feel Like
Imagine moving through your home and being met with quiet reassurance.
You see your fur baby and feel calm instead of guilt.
You feel present instead of rushed.
You feel comforted, grounded, and confident in the love you give.
This artwork is not about remembering a moment. It is about living with the truth of your bond every day.
A steady reminder that your love is real, your connection is deep, and what you share is already enough.
This is what it feels like to come home to reassurance.

What Happens If You Wait?
This year is unlike any other, full of new paths and self-discovery. But if you let it pass without marking this moment, you might find yourself looking back wondering if you were truly seen for who you were right now. Will you regret not having something tangible, something that truly reflects who you were becoming, before you stepped into what's next? Don't let this unique chapter fade into a blur. Show yourself, and those who love you, that this moment matters.

We chose Misty Westebbe for Senior Portraits because of her responsiveness to my initial contact and her laid back approach to scheduling, but I had no idea what to expect. I work full time, including several weekends per month, my husband was away for the year for work, and my son, who did not even want to have pictures taken, was busy with job shadowing and summer classes. Misty made everything easy. She won Justin over at the initial meeting. He is shy around new people, and I was worried we would end up with lots of pictures of him looking uncomfortable or with fake smiles. Misty suggested clothing options and listened to his interests so the pictures could reflect what he wanted. She even arranged to use a grand piano after he mentioned that it was important to him. She got to know him and that was reflected on the day of the shoot. Misty completely worked around our chaotic schedule to find a time that would work for the session. The day of the pictures we were prepared with lots of clothes and accessories but were still apprehensive. We started with the piano. Justin just sat down and played; there were no awkward poses or fake smiles. He was relaxed and natural. As the session progressed, he even made suggestions and took some fun photos with Misty’s sports car and his sunglasses. Every single shot was relaxed and natural, with true smiles. I managed to finish the preview of the photos without crying, but it was definitely an effort! Choosing the prints to get was harder than everything else. I couldn’t wait to get the finished products. I shared them immediately with friends and family and anyone who comes to our house sees the book on the coffee table. Everyone comments on how relaxed he looks. I was stressed about finding a time that worked and getting good pictures; Justin was stressed about taking pictures at all. But we worried for nothing. Misty made what we expected to be a chore into an enjoyable experience and a great mother-son memory. Kristi H.

Working with Misty Westebbe Photography for my daughter’s senior photos was an experience we will cherish forever. From the very beginning, Misty took the time to truly get to know my daughter, her personality, her interests, her style, and it showed in every single image. She didn’t just take photos; she captured who she is in this season of life. What meant the most to me was how Misty turned the entire session into a celebration. This wasn’t just a photoshoot, it was a milestone moment. She beautifully highlighted my daughter’s confidence and individuality, while also honoring our unique mother/daughter bond. The photos of us together are some of my most treasured keepsakes. Misty also incorporated the heart of Franklin, TN — the place where we’ve built our life and made so many memories — in such a meaningful way. She understands that senior photos aren’t just about a student graduating; they’re about family, roots, pride, and the journey that got you there. If you’re looking for someone who will go beyond the camera and truly see your child, Misty is that photographer. We are so grateful for the experience and the memories she preserved so beautifully.
