Choosing a photographer is about more than finding someone to take beautiful portraits. It is about finding someone you connect with and creating an experience together that feels personal from the very beginning.
At Misty Westebbe Photography, we start by getting to know you, who matters to you, and what you want to remember about this season of life. From there, we plan a portrait experience that reflects your family, your fur-baby, your senior, or you.
There is room to laugh, move, talk, play, change direction, and simply enjoy being together. The portraits come from that experience.
And when the session is over, we continue the process together, choosing the portraits you love and turning them into artwork you can enjoy every day.

The session itself is only one part of what we create together.
For more than twenty years, Misty has photographed families, seniors, women, professionals, and fur-babies with different personalities, relationships, stories, and ideas of what they want their portraits to feel like.
That experience allows every session to unfold differently.
Your portrait experience begins with planning and conversation. We talk about the people or fur-babies being photographed, clothing, location, what is important to you, and what you hope to create.
During the session, there is time to let personalities come through and relationships unfold naturally rather than rushing through a list of photographs.
Afterward, we sit down together to look through what we created and choose the portraits that mean the most to you. From there, Misty helps design the finished artwork for your home, from individual wall portraits and wall art collections to albums and portrait boxes.
Professional installation of wall portraits is included as part of the experience.
From the first conversation to seeing your finished portraits in your home, the process is personal and hands-on.

Collections start at $800.
Wall art starts at $620.
Every client chooses differently. For many portrait sessions, the total investment falls somewhere between $1,500 and $5,000+, depending on the portraits and artwork selected and what you ultimately want to create.
Some clients choose one meaningful piece for their home. Others build a larger collection with wall art, albums, portrait boxes, or multiple finished pieces.
There is no single amount everyone is expected to spend.
Your portrait experience begins before the day of your session. We plan it around the people, personalities, relationships, and details that matter to you.
Afterward, we sit down together to experience the portraits for the first time and choose the ones you love most.
Some clients immediately see a portrait they want to walk past every day. Others fall in love with a group of portraits that tell the story better together in a wall art collection, album, or portrait box.
You do not have to make those decisions before your session. We create first, then decide together how you want to enjoy what we created.
For wall portraits, we also help with size and placement and professionally install the finished artwork in your home.
Professional hair and makeup is available as an optional add-on for $150 for any portrait session.

A headshot is often someone’s first introduction to you.
That is why we take the time to create portraits that feel like the person someone will actually meet when they walk into your office, sit across from you at a meeting, or work with you in real life.
We can create different looks during your session so you have portraits that work across your website, social media, marketing, speaking, and other professional needs while still feeling consistent with who you are.

The portrait experience does not end when the camera is put away.
Seeing your portraits for the first time is one of my favorite parts of the entire process.
We sit down together, go through what we created, and find the portraits that immediately mean something to you.
From there, we decide how you want to live with them.
That might include:
Wall art
Wall art collections
Portrait boxes
Albums
There is no need to decide before your session exactly what you will purchase.
The portraits themselves often make that decision much easier.
Once we know which portraits you love, we can look at your space, determine sizing and placement, and design artwork that feels right in your home.
And when your wall portraits are ready, professional installation is included.
The experience begins with creating the portraits together and carries all the way through to seeing them where they belong.

Our Product Guide shows examples of the wall art, collections, portrait boxes, and albums available through the studio.
The portraits shown in the guide feature pets, but the artwork options and investment structure are the same for Family, Pet, Senior, and Strength & Style portrait experiences.
Because you are not simply investing in something to hang on a wall.
You are investing in your family, the people you love, the fur-babies who are part of your family, and the season of life you are living right now.
Every day, you walk past that portrait displayed proudly in your home.
You see your children together before they grew up and went in different directions. You see the face of the fur-baby who greets you every morning. You see your family as it was in this particular chapter. You see the people who make your house feel like home.
We collect all kinds of artwork because we love the way it makes our homes feel. Portrait artwork carries something deeper because the people inside it are ours.
Over time, that meaning only grows.
The portrait you enjoy today may one day become the portrait your children want in their own homes. The portrait of your fur-baby may become one of the things that brings their personality rushing back to you. A senior portrait becomes a glimpse of who they were just before life began changing very quickly.
Yes, there is craftsmanship behind what we create. There is planning, experience, professional retouching, custom artwork, thoughtful design, and professional installation.
But those things are not the reason the portrait matters.
The reason it matters is who is in it.
That is what you are investing in.

Some portrait projects and seasonal events have their own investment structure.
These may include:

Some clients invest less. Others choose to invest more.
There is no required minimum beyond the session fee, and you will have the opportunity to choose what is right for you after seeing your portraits.
Because the value is not simply in the piece hanging on the wall. It is in the people inside it.
Portrait artwork becomes part of your everyday life. You see it as you walk through your home, and its meaning changes and often grows as the years pass.
We invest in art because we want to live with things that mean something to us. A portrait of your own family, your children, your fur-baby, or someone you love carries a meaning no other artwork can.

Every portrait experience is different because every person, family, senior, and fur-baby who comes through the studio is different.
A Discovery Call gives us a chance to talk about what matters to you, what you would love to create, and what you want this experience to feel like.
From there, we can start creating it together.
