If a photo is truly worth a thousand words, then Misty Westebbe Photography most definitely has written our family several chapters in our life’s novel. My name is Kate Tran and I am so very excited to be a part of the New Day family! I was first introduced to Misty Westebbe, New Day Photography’s wonderful photographer, at our beautiful church, Remnant Fellowship, in Brentwood, TN. We were both working part time for another company and became fast friends as we shared about our love for God and our blooming relationships with our soon-to-be spouses. I lived in North Carolina at the time and her beautiful life seemed to shine like a beacon and was one of the many reasons why I felt I should move to Tennessee. Not long after that, my dear husband proposed and – as I am sure you guessed – Misty was there too- capturing the entire wedding, from the pre-wedding pictures to the beautiful ceremony. In a blink of an eye, two years had passed for us and my husband, Long, and I were pregnant with our first child, Emma Paige. Once again, Misty was there and joyfully captured so many precious moments that I now look fondly back on. She not only did my pregnancy pictures, but Emma’s newborn photos and year one photos as well. She also was able to capture the final family photo before the passing of my wonderful grandmother, Betty Higgins. I cherish each of these sessions so much and I am so grateful that God allowed Misty to truly capture the love and happiness within family in those photos. I will truly treasure them forever.
Why I Love Misty Westebbe Photography
As you can imagine, my love for Misty and her family has not stopped growing from when I first met her until now. Not only is she a gifted photographer, but her passion and excitement for her trade shines through every photo, treating everyone as if they were her own family. When the opportunity to be a part of the New Day Photography family arose, I could not help but ask if I could join in. This opportunity means so very much to me and I am simply ecstatic to see the amazing moments and memories she will capture for so many.
Don’t Miss Out on Capturing Memories
As we all know, many moments go by too quick and before we even think to take a photo or capture the moment, it is gone before our eyes. My daughter, Emma, is now almost 2 years old. She is walking, running, drawing and scribbling on any piece of paper she can get her hands on, and (I’m pretty sure) has developed her own language that I definitely need to get the alphabet for. Thankfully, I will always have the pictures of her tiny toes and the proof that she was once small enough to fit inside of a hand basket. I will also have the beautiful picture of my gramma holding Emma in her lap as she smiled so widely it spread to the rest of us. These images are forever engrained on my heart and all over my home. With this said, the only words I have left to say are: Don’t let these moments slip away. Cherish each moment you are given… and it definitely doesn’t hurt to get a few on film either.
