Here are 4 more beautiful ladies from our 50 Over 50 Project, showing their true beauty shining through their eyes and telling their story of life. We want to show women that aging doesn't have to bring you down but instead can lift you!
Meet Deanna and hear her story...
I am the owner/voice coach of Studio Vox Box in Franklin, Tennessee. I am also a working professional vocalist that specializes in singing jazz standards from the Golden Age of American Songbook. I am passionate, artistic, and tenacious. I stay young by keeping active and taking care of my body, heart, mind, and soul.
I became a single mother of twin boys when they were 18 months old. Raising them alone was a great challenge, but also my greatest accomplishment. They are now 18 years old and achieving great things in college.
We asked her if she had anything to say to others about aging and this is what she had to say, "Age is just a number. Keep doing things you love. Stay active, eat well, get your rest and take care of yourself, help others and keep good friends close. With that recipe, you can achieve anything!"
Meet Kay and hear her story...
I am 55 and loving life. I have been in Real Estate since 1987. I love my career “Making Real Estate Dreams Come True”.
My husband is a networking manager and my stepson is a senior at “VMI”. We have 2 fur babies and we love living in Tennessee.
It’s never too late to start over, never look back and live in the moment.
We asked her if she had anything to say to others and this is what she had to say, "Embrace your inner beauty and it will show through your life and the people you touch."
Meet Linda and hear her story...
I am a 59-year-old mom to two beautiful grown children and have two grandchildren. I have worked since the day I turned 18 and have never looked back. I was never college-educated but with the work experience of working with a corporate company and an international business, I have learned the value of hard work and strong work ethics. I love to garden, I especially love my flowers and nurturing them to beauty, I believe in exercise, eating right, and taking good care of my skin. I've lived in the country my whole life. There's no better living than country life - watching the butterflies, the lightning bugs at night, frogs croaking in our pond, and the birds chirping. It is truly God's beauty!
I actually married my Junior year of high school, and I was 17. I finished my Senior year as a married lady, along with two other ladies. Today, the three of us ladies are still married to the same men. That is 42 years of marriage! We played and had good times the first ten years of our marriage and then settled down to have our first child. Eight years later our second child came along. Can I say it has been easy? NO! Would I do it again at this day and age? Probably not. But I made a commitment that day in July to my husband and to God and I intend on keeping that commitment. A marriage has roots that grow towards each other, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from the branches, you find that we are one tree and not two.
We asked her if she had anything to say to others and this is what she had to say, "No one believes I'm 59 when I tell my age. People think I'm in my early 50's. Take good care of your skin - eat healthy - drink green smoothies - take supplements. Be happy with yourself. Make peace with your past and realize that getting older is just another phase in life to get us to our final destination - Heaven."

- I love to laugh, every day.
- I believe each day camping is better than the one before and hate when it has to end. And if a tent is not involved, it doesn't count. Just sayin'.
- I have lived in Tennessee, Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Washington (state), Hawaii, and Fiji. Not necessarily in that order, and some more than once.
- You can take the girl out of the south but not the South out of the girl. I love southern cooking, values, and yes, sweet tea.
- My first paying job was when I was 13 and I have worked ever since. I have worked as a youth camp counselor, a dishwasher, a sales associate, a babysitter, a nursing staff coordinator, a cocktail waitress, food server, personal assistant, real estate sales associate, office manager, paralegal, attorney, executive director for a non-profit, a COO, Director of Human Resources and a program manager. Again, not necessarily in that order and some more than once.
My most proud accomplishment is that I have 2 daughters who are grown, independent, and successful in their lives. I practiced law for 20 years and now consult with corporations and government agencies. I moved to Nashville 2 1/2 years ago from the mountain west and love it here. My close friends would tell you that I am compassionate, kind, caring, fun-loving, vibrant, and passionate in all things I do. I am adventurous and love being outdoors as much as possible. I enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, and kayaking in the summer months; skiing in the winter, and exploring new places/traveling in between. I am a master scuba diver and try to incorporate diving when I travel.
We asked her if she had anything to say to others and this is what she had to say, "I never believed it when I used to hear that the best years are after 50. I can honestly say they truly are! I have the time now to take care of myself, try new things, travel, and go on adventures. I am looking forward to the next 50 years and the second half of my journey."
