As most of you have seen recently, we have changed our New Day Photography name to Misty Westebbe Photography. This will make it easier to be found by clients with our own unique name and no more confusion of finding other businesses with the New Day name! It was the name of our business for 12 years so it will be hard to let go but will lead into new things for our Franklin, TN studio. As we change names we are also making many big changes for rebranding and creating the best experience for 2019 and forward!
Let's walk through and look at the new additions to our Franklin studio cottage garden for 2018! The first addition was our Koi pond with waterfalls, water wheel and water house. This was a beautiful addition to our cottage garden!!!!
Second, was our fun "Hobbit House" built into the hillside in the woods. Everyone who visits describes it differently. Some say it reminds them of sod houses from Little House on the Prairie, a fairy house, home of the seven dwarfs, and that is just a few. We were inspired by the cave dwellings we stayed in on our trip to Greece in 2017. It has a very different look than what we created but the concept of building into the hillside was very intriguing.
Third, we created a fire pit patio area with rock ledges to create seating for a large family portrait. Next year the roses will be covering pergola area behind the rock ledge to complete a beautiful backdrop!
The front yard has been turned into a butterfly haven of wildflowers behind a picket fence. The flowers create a beautiful backdrop for all ages! This will be prime in July and August for a summer photo shoot with Misty Westebbe Photography.
We have purchased 10 acres between Leipers Fork and Fairview that will be a beautiful backdrop for those fall family portraits in October. As you walk down the path to a beautiful creek in the woods, you will truly enjoy your surroundings. It is an amazing addition to a shoot at our Franklin studio. These sessions will be scheduled far in advance to accommodate the busy fall season.
To end 2018 projects, Bruce started our "Nashville Music Cabin" on December 30th and here are the images taken yesterday of the almost completed set. What a joy it is to work together on our 2.5 acre playground for photography in our beautiful historic town, Franklin, TN!!!!
