It's time to overhaul your family photographs. You went to a photo session, chose your favorites, selected the sizes, frames, and even where they will be displayed on your walls. Your next question is what to do with your previous photos.
We've come up with a few suggestions for you!
Move Them To A New Location
Move them to spaces throughout the house that aren't used as much, but you will still get to see them and have the memories. This could be hallways, bathrooms, stairways, or even bedrooms.
Take Them To Work
Family portrait sessions can be quite expensive, especially if they are done frequently. Taking your family photographs to work and hanging them in the workplace might provide you with some wonderful art pieces while also displaying your lovely family.
Create Wall Collages
You could create wall collages that combine years to show the passage of time before your eyes. It would be wonderful to document your family's growth from birth, through childhood and adolescence, and on into adulthood.
Gift Them To Your Grown Children
When your children have left the nest, consider leaving little notes on their portraits for them to read. This would be a wonderful opportunity for them to appreciate how much you loved them when they were younger and how proud you are of what they've accomplished!
Gift Them To The Grandparents
You could give them to the grandparents to put on their wall. They would be a wonderful piece of sentimental art to have. You could even use them as surprises for special occasions, such as Mother's Day or Father's Day.
That concludes our list of suggestions. Will you be trying any of these ideas? Have you ever tried any of these suggestions? Did you do something different with your old family portraits? Let us know in the comments!
