I opted for a totally different shoot this weekend. I had a free morning and wanted to get a chance to do something fun and different. With the help of Tina and Ariella, great friends and clients, I put together a vintage cookie baking idea. It is so much fun when an idea in my head pulls together like this one did! We planned it out with hair and makeup, clothing and decor to feel like we were time traveling to 1950. I love the thought of mom in the kitchen baking cookies yet she is all dressed and beautiful for the moment her husband walks through the door! The Betty Crocker cookbook was an add into the scene from my sentimental heart, it was the cookbook my parents used, that I learned to cook from and my dad used the rest of his life. What fond memories that were popping into my head. Mom and child baking, spending time together, laughing, learning, making memories!!! I watched it play out through my camera and later as I loaded my images to the computer. Wow! A fun and rewarding project, for myself, for my client and for future cookie baking shoots! I can't think of a better place to do this than in my cozy cottage studio nestled on 2.5 acres right in the middle of Franklin, Tn!
